Compared to all the apps for working with live photos that rely on absurd subscriptions and intrusive ads, this is a breath of fresh air! Unfortunately, there are many features it doesn’t have which I would expect or hope it would. Some functionality that doesn’t seem to be supported as of this review (Oct. 2021): Video->Live - cropping - specify resolution - trim video clip Live->GIF - back-and-forth looping - tweening - trim video I’ve only used this app for a few minutes so far, so there are probably many other things I haven’t looked for (and I haven’t explored all the types of conversion it does support). Verdict: If this app does what you need it to, I highly recommend it! It seems to work great, it looks quite good, and it’s pretty lightweight and speedy.

I just bought the app and it’s not even working properly. It keeps crashing while trying to make a video into a Live Photo. More specifically after picking a key frame. Glad it wasn’t an expensive app but disappointed since I read such great reviews :/

I’ve had the app the for quite a bit now, I’d say around 2 years maybe 3, and I 100% would recommend that you get this app. I loved all its features from the jump, and the most recent update with the new layout is absolutely immaculate.

The app has been working perfectly for me since I purchased it, but recently whenever I am trying to make a Live Photo from a video, it just crashes. Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

I’ve had this app for many years and used it all the time! But I went to use it to make a video from snaps I had saved from Snapchat. But you can no longer make videos only live photos and GIFs. Why would you take that option away?!?!

Everything is pixelated after the update. . Not happy with that.

Dev contacted me over the gif issue, which is unusual for any app dev, so even though it is still a problem, fact is he wants to fix it. Just download the app, the dev is actually helpful!

:/ this app does its job and I was extremely happy with the result of it being able to do 30 seconds on my Live as a wallpaper as other apps only do 5, but the only reason I was so happy was because the video was perfect because OF THE MUSIC I PLACED ON IT. And withought that it just takes the whole point of everything down the toilet. I just installed it is there anything I can do to fix this? Please, thank you.

Whenever I try to create a video into a Live Photo it crashes. I choose the frame I want as the photo then it says it creating the love photo and then it just closes the app (crashes)

Why can’t I import a photo so that it can be a live photo for video to live?

I wanted to make some Gifs that are on my Mac into Live Photo screensavers for my iPhone 8, and this app did the trick. Through experimenting, this is how it worked for me: I Airdropped the Gifs to my phone, which saved them in Camera Roll; then with this app, I chose each photo (I did this one at a time), converted them to Live Photos, then clicked to export them, and then chose save to phone. Then they automatically go into the Live Photos folder on your phone to choose as wallpapers in the future. Great app, great price. Thank you, developer!

I tried this app in all the different ways and it really works well, all except the fact that when I convert video to live (6 second) it does not bring the sound. Live to video includes sounds and I can see no reason why the reverse would not be true. I think it’s a very cool app and what is there worked well, but I literally bought it for a feature that in my opinion is not complete. Include sound in video to live conversion and I change to 5 stars happily 👍🏻 Update: sound is now included, I will honor my word and give it five stars. I really did put the app through its paces and all now work as stated👏🏻.

When I convert a video into a Live Photo it doesn’t have any sound but everything else is ok

I’ve been trying to find a great app for transferring either a gif or video into a Live Photo, and this is it. It can make Live Photo’s that are longer than 5 seconds, unlike the previous app I was using. It is also much more simple than the last app I was using. I recommend it.

I wanted a video to be a live wallpaper. I got this app. BOOM done. No problems what so ever. No headache. No lemme change this setting. Just works...in seconds too! Thank you to Aaron who created this amazing app! Exactly what I wanted. Oh and to everyone whose mad over 1 dollar think about thet the next time you don’t finish some food you buy.

Where to start? ok sound it sounded cool turn your gifs into Live Photo’s and which sounds pretty awesome and it’s only 1$ why not get it? So I made that mistake... when you go into the app it lets you pick from five categories I chose the gif to Live Photo, when I did clicked on it there was no individual photo albums just my main one panoramas burst and video not much of a selection.. also you would think that if you (choose) gif to Live Photo it would only show you gifs well it doesn’t and you click on one that’s a regular photo (I don’t even know why it doesn’t short them...) it sends you back to the main menu to start all over again... so this app is already a freaking big pain plus I had to pay a 1$ for it and there’s more issues... after you finally select a a gif which *there is no way to tell* it gives you a few options which non of them mater.. then after you save your photo to the camera roll the Live Photo plays not for as long as your gif does not as long as a normal love photo would.. but only for a half second... omg this app is complete 🤮garbage🤮 if you see this review don’t pay a dolor just save your money

Great but No sound

Exporting a 4 second clip of fluid animation produces a low resolution, choppy live photo. There also seems to be an issue when changing the live effect to ‘bounce’ as it only repeats the same 1 second of animation instead of the full 4 seconds. Looking elsewhere for a video to live photo wallpaper tool.

Definitely the best app purchase I’ve made, best converter there is on the App Store. If you’re worried about wasting your money, don’t be.

Simple down to business app that turned my videos into Live Photos for awesome backgrounds.

No funciona

I got this to convert gifs into live wallpapers, and the function does not work. It takes the first frame and copies it over every other frame, so it just looks like a still image. It keeps coming up with half a dozen frames of the same image after conversion. Whether I get the gif from my library or a browser link, the result is always the same.

They removed in-app purchases! This is a wonderful thing! Thank you for not continuing down the road so many are going down, of getting as much money out of people as possible. You guys rock.

While "Live Studio" has a nice, simple design, the app tries to get you to sign up for a subscription right upon startup, even if one has in-app purchases disabled. I like the import options the app offers and that the user chooses the cover for their created Live Photo, but in the end, the quality of the Live Photos produced by "Live Studio" isn't great, and its competitor, "intoLive", has more features. I don't recommend the current version of "Live Studio" and suggest "intoLive" instead.

Great app does exactly what I wanted! You have to export it to your e-mail in order for you to get the gif affect. Then you save the gif from your e-mail to your phone and it works perfectly :)

Easy to use with a sleek design.

The company advertise this as (for a limited time) a free app on a website. But it's actually not free, you need to buy an in app purchase to use its features.

I like this app. It does what it advertises very nicely and with ease. Stable, clean design, excellent functionality. Easy to use to convert Live Photos to movies and vice versa

I'm on iOS 10 with iCloud photos and I can't find any picture taken in the last year or so. Any other app can access them but not this one.

Was able to convert a video (you must trim the video down to size to work) to a live photo with ease

Everything works perfectly fine but I can't export the gifs to twitter and I just look dumb for putting a weird picture up that's doesn't do anything

Does not work for Instagram!

I doesn't work cause I have an iPhone, and I get that, but in the next update I would like scream for joy if u could make it work for iPhone 5s. :)

I've been waiting for an app like this since live photos came out and I was very surprised it works exactly as advertised. You can make live photos into gifs, and you can make gifs into live photos. I definitely recommend this app, worth the dollar.

And perfect for making live videos. Needs to keep audio with video to live photo conversion

05/29/16 TRIED USING THIS TO MAKE A LIVE PHOTO FROM A GIF AND IT TOTALLY WORKS!! I've already converted around 10 GIFs!! Have to try video next time!! But so far my $0.99 is not wasted!!

The only criticism I could give this, is the time the options on the main screen take to animate into the menu.

I absolutely love his app! Last year I went to a One Direction concert and it let me transform videos into a live wallpaper and I love it!! The only thing is I wish it was hd like the video is but other than that I love it!!
